Altin Çocuk Beyrut’ta 1967

Golden Boy (Original title: Altin Cocuk) was the Turkish answer to the 007 genre spy movies. Directed by Memduh Ün (as Mr. Ray Bowman), it starred Göksel Arsoy, Altan Günbay and Sevda Nur.

The Turkish superspy Golden Boy (Goksel Arsoy) successfully eliminates an enemy agent before jetting off to London for a well-earned vacation. Back in Istanbul, assassins liquidate one of Golden Boy’s fellow agents, S-99, resulting in the superspy being recalled to duty. It transpires that a formidable enemy, the megalomaniac Demetrius (Altan Gunbay), is planning to destroy Turkey by smashing a series of remote-controlled warheads into Istanbul’s nuclear power facility. Only Golden Boy can stop him but the superspy’s game plan seemingly goes awry when Demetrius cleverly employs the talents of a very special undercover agent.
